PAC Handmade Organic Aprons

Sustainable Linens & Aprons

This Portland-born brand crafts aprons with gorgeous, all-natural linen. Because each piece is handmade, no two are exactly alike. Founded by Erika Kelly in 2012, the Portland Apron Company focuses on making high-quality aprons and home textiles using organic materials and unbeatable artisanal quality. They select organic fabrics sourced from US-based textile companies, and everything is cut and sewn in the United States. At the core of their vision, PAC believes it's important that we all do our part in keeping our planet clean and cared-for. As a part of that vision, they do their part by creating handmade aprons and sustainable home linens in-house. Beyond their popular organic aprons and pinafores for kitchen and gardening, this brand has worked with many other creative artisans to make textiles for cafes, floral boutiques, and workshops. Get ready to fall in love with linen.

How to Use Handmade Aprons

When not in use creating culinary masterpieces, PAC’s handmade aprons are designed to be decorative accent pieces in their own right. In addition to the charming patterns on each one, their focus on ethically sourced, organic materials is another reason why these linen aprons are so beautiful. Whether it’s from the farm to the kitchen table or from the farm to the sewing table, or if it’s by directly tilling the earth in one’s home garden, the Portland Apron Company’s especially popular line of organic aprons is just one example of how artisanal craftsmanship is something to share and celebrate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these handmade aprons suitable for daily use?

Absolutely! Even though PAC’s line of aprons and other linen products are such high-quality they can feel like they are best-suited only for special occasions, part of their commitment to sustainability is in their long-term durability. Portland Apron Company creates every one of its products to be worn with pride and comfort, even for daily use.

How do I wash PAC products?

Portland Apron Company prides itself on their designs becoming softer over time. You can wash them by machine or by hand but make sure the temperature is low. Like anything cotton, expect some shrinking after the first wash. We recommend drying their aprons and linens by hanging or machine drying on low to medium heat. For linen smock aprons with straps, a light shake is all you need before fully drying.

What is the difference between apron styles?

The different PAC varieties all come down to use. Some aprons are intended for gardening, while others are better designed for grilling. Their linen smock aprons are perfect for anything artisanal, be it crafting a culinary delight or spinning a pottery wheel.

How is Portland Apron Company committed to sustainability?

For PAC, sustainability and eco-consciousness is more than a buzzword, and that’s why Cribsi is proud to showcase their collection. They choose to handmake their aprons from US-sourced, organic cotton. This ensures quality and integrity, as well as reducing carbon emissions during transportation. The linens and aprons are crafted without the use of pesticides and eco-friendly dyes, making them better for wildlife and the soil as well as for every person who handles the cotton.
